Hi, I’m Curtis
I’ve had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. As a kid, it was the one thing I never left behind. Whether it was a clunky film camera from a discount bin or something I saved every dime for, I didn’t care. I just wanted to freeze time. Something about capturing a moment before it disappeared made me feel like I was holding on to something solid in a world that never stops moving.
When digital cameras finally became good enough to keep up, I jumped back in without hesitation. That rush never left. The camera has always been less of a tool and more of an extension of how I see. It lets me slow things down. It gives me the space to notice what most people walk past.
Eventually, I discovered drones, and everything changed again. I’ve always looked up. As a kid, it was kites, rockets, anything that lifted off the ground. Drones gave me that same wonder, but with control and vision I’d never had before. Flying them felt like unlocking a new way of seeing the world. There’s something quieting about being up high and looking down. It clears the noise. It puts things in perspective.
Photography, for me, is not just about the shot. It’s about remembering the feeling that made me lift the camera in the first place. Sometimes it's a wide open landscape that pulls you in. Other times it's a sliver of light in an alley or the texture of a wall no one else would think twice about. The camera gives me a reason to stop and notice. Editing helps me tell the full story, not just of what I saw, but how it felt to stand there and witness it.
Outside the frame, life keeps me moving. That space has become a place to process, to share, and to keep the story going.
This site is a collection of the ways I see. Through photos, drone work, and writing, I try to catch the things that might otherwise slip by. Whether it’s a quiet street corner or the view from the sky, everything here is part of how I make sense of the world.
If something here feels familiar or sparks a question, I hope you’ll reach out. Thanks for being here.
