tiny lens
I just tried out a very tiny 18mm f/6.3 lens and it just made this camera into something way better than I could imagine. It feels like all of the ease of having a cheap disposable camera from the 90’s. It’s got infinity focus, the lens has bad glaring, vignetting, purple cast, a flash and a slew of other issues. I love this lens for all of this character. It just brings me back to photos I shot when I was shooting film. Now I have all of that and a lot more control over what I shoot and how it comes out. Just changing the position of the flash and adjusting it’s strength can drastically change how an image feels. The lens is so small and extremely pocketable. It’s not an easy lens and it’s not a sharp lens. You have to work for this lens, but in return it gives back images with texture and warmth.
