pulling focus
I want to focus more on being a creative artist with an emphasis on photography and video. I’ve tried many different mediums and I’ve always felt most comfortable capturing slices of life with a camera. When I’m in my element, I straddle the line between living life and capturing the world around me. It gives me a chance to experience memories in new and special ways. Trying to balance a full time job and pursuing a hobby has been a challenge that I intend to overcome this year. I’m most excited about all of the different ways a drone can be used. I am excited to be excited about something.

My Plan for 2023

I will post a blog every third day.
I tried shooting and posting a vlog daily in 2022. It lasted about 6 months. It was fun and exciting, then it quickly got repetitive and boring. My wife suggested to post less and I am taking her advice. I think this is something I need in my life to help keep me mentally stimulated. I want to share all of this and this year I will focus on my website since this is for me.
I will choose a stock video seller for my drone footage. I will choose a stock photography selling site for my stills.
I don’t really have much back story on this. I am dragging my heels since this is a big decision to make.
I want my website to be fun to visit more than once. I need to start an email list.
I don’t need my site to be super popular, but just fun to visit a couple of times a year. I can’t set it and leave it. This is my social network site. I don’t need to worry about any other sites but my own. I will still post in other places, but only after my website post is the best.
I will make several “Best Of” videos for youtube.
I have plenty of great footage, but I am afraid of getting my footage stolen. I don’t know how to overcome this yet
I want to sell some sort of digital assets beyond my creative work. (LUTS, COLOR pallets, I don’t know)
I don’t really know about this one. It is kind of a wild idea but perhaps I will find something of interest want to make
I will develop a physical product to sell on my website
I don’t have much thought on this so far. I just want to make stuff with my hands again. I miss it, but I want it to be worth my while
I will decide where to focus my drone pilot skills
I need to specialize in something
