I was recently evaluating gear and questioning if I was actually using it. I sorted out the kit that I have out grown and replaced it with higher quality glass. I made myself a cheat sheet that is always on my phone. It has a photo of my gear item and an explanation of when it would be best to use that item. I found it really helpful to take that decision making out of my head and on to a list I can reference. I have kit lists for every bag I own and every scenario I can imagine. As better products come out I look for opportunities to replace parts of my kit. I will update my lists as needed and they sync across all of my devices. I use the Noteability App with a legacy account, so your mileage may vary. I don’t think about the techs and specs so I can focus on composition and telling a story. I recommend you give it a try. It’s a great tool for me to stay organized.
