almost shooting full manual

I spent most of last year babying my drones since I was afraid of breaking my brand new toys. I was shy about flying in public because I thought everyone would be annoyed with me. I went through the same thing when I started getting serious with my stills photography. I have gotten very comfortable flying my drone now that I am part 107 certified. I know the rules and I know that I am taking every precaution to be safe per the FAA guidelines. I can focus on my camera settings and composition.

I am trying to treat all of my video and photography the same. I’ve thrown a couple of photography audio books in my library and they have been very inspirational. I feel like I have spent most of my life seeking my favorite hobby and it’s been photography this entire time. I like this challenge to shoot every day. I like that I am pushing myself to see what I can create with this little ZV-1 that I am taking everywhere. What does my life look like just documenting a couple of interesting shots everyday? I don’t know but we will be spending 2023 trying to answer these questions.

This isn’t going to be another future failed experiment, this will be a life long habit. I want to make up for the years that I didn’t spend every day taking a photo. I have every piece of gear that I can imagine. I want to try as many styles and genres as possible. The rabbit hole in photography is deep and I have a lifetime to explore it.
